Aka baritone mando, the mandocello is a guitar-sized (usually archtop style) mandolin tuned like a cello. Coincidentally the mandocello is very similar to a tenor guitar. The only real difference (apart from the tuning) is that the tenor guitar has single strings while the mandocello has double although the mandocello usually has a longer scale too.
