Essentially a banjo with the skin head replaced by a wooden top. The banjo harp seems to have been invented by Paramount during the 1920s, although other kinds of wood top banjos existed much earlier than that.
Paramount made a fivestring banjo harp version, a fourstring tenor harp and probably versions matching the other banjo sizes common at that time as well.
