Mandola strings can be hard to find, but here are a few very good alternatives.

Standard strings

The strings most mandola players use.
A few words about this list
D'Addario J76 PB Mandola Strings

These are perfectly good standard American strings.

Gauges 015-025w-035w-052w.

    Polished strings

    For less finger noise.

      Quality strings

If only the best is good enough for you...
A few words about this list
      Thomastik 174 Mandola Strings
Flat-wound, polished strings made of tin-plated silver steel with chrome steel wire.

Thomastik's strings are considerably smoother and softer to the touch than standard mandola strings mainly because they use a much more elastic core than American strings do.
:Since they are flatwound and polished, they produce a rather mellow tone with hardly no finger noise. Some musicians may find them a bit too mellow for their taste, but others love them.

They may seem expensive, but remember these strings are made to last. Treat them nice, and they won't cost you more than standard strings in the long run.
