It is a simple and elegant European style mandolin with a spruce laminate top, mahogany back and sides and a high-gloss finish. It's a very playable instrument, making it an interesting alternative for a beginner mandolinist and for a guitarist looking for a secondary instrument. But why the laminate top? Hora, the manufacturer has a wide range of good inexpensive mandolins and Amigo had to choose the only one that didn't have a proper solid wood top!
